Mayfair Lakes Ownership Change

11th February, 2015
Mayfair Lakes LogoThe GolfBC Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of the May family’s interest in Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club. “GolfBC will continue to manage the facility with no major changes in the day to day operations,” said Andy Hedley, Vice President of Operations for GolfBC Group. “We remain focused on providing excellent service and conditioning as we have done in the past,” he added.

“GolfBC would like to thank the May family for their original vision in creating this beautiful golf course, and for all their contributions to its success over the past twenty-five years,” said Donald Lee, President of the GolfBC Group. “The partnership with GolfBC has been a long and successful one, and at this time, we are happy to have worked out this transition together,” said Allen May, of May and Sons. “We wish GolfBC and the great team at Mayfair all the best, and continued success in the future,” he added.

Mayfair Lakes, located minutes from downtown Vancouver and YVR airport, is a championship Les Furber designed 18-hole, 6,641-yard golf course. The facility has played host to many events, including the Canadian Tour’s BC Tel Open and Greater Vancouver Classic, which featured professional golfers such as Mike Weir, Craig Stadler, and Steve Stricker.
