Jimmy was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Vancouver when he was 11 years old. Following the suggestion of his father, it wasn't long after this that Jimmy discovered the allure of the great game when he first picked up a golf club. As his game quickly progressed from strength to strength, it soon became clear to him that golf would be his life-long career.

He credits Brett Saunders, a famous Australian-born golf instructor at Northview Golf Club, as being his greatest inspiration. Under Brett's supervision, Jimmy quickly improved his games and participated in various junior tournaments winning several competitions. During those formative years with Brett Saunders, Jimmy not only became an accomplished golfer, but also discovered a desire to teach others as he became more and more interested in the mechanics and techniques of the sport he loved.

Jimmy then moved to Toronto in 2006 to attend the Professional Golf Management Program offered at Humber College where he expanded his academic knowledge about the golf industry and the game of golf. He qualified for the CPGA Professional in 2008 and joined Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club in April, 2009. Jimmy is excited to be able to share his passion with players of all levels, to help them go beyond what they thought was possible and to ultimately realize their true potential.
