PGA of BC Teacher of the Year, 2014

Clay has a deep passion for the game of golf, from the history to the beauty, and this passion is evident when teaching his students. The development of the students is extremely important to Clay, whether it’s a number they are trying to shoot or their overall experience playing the game. With over two decades of teaching experience, Clay has learned a key factor in what makes his students successful lies in their ability to understand their golf swing and maintain consistency with their game. Understanding your golf swing, allows for quicker results and a lifetime of enjoyment.

Conner Kozak, PGA of Canada

Lead Coach
PGA of BC Junior Leader of the Year, 2019
[email protected]

At an early age of about 8 or 9 years old, Conner began to develop a strong passion for the sport of golf. This passion only grew stronger into his teens as he began to notice continual improvement in his game and in competition. Following a junior golf career highlighted by several championships and top finishes in high level competition, Conner had the privilege of being recruited to play varsity golf at the University of British Columbia. While pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, he was named team captain for three out of his four years on the team. During his time on the team, Conner was able to help lead the T-Birds to numerous tournament wins and national championships.

Now as a professional, he believes in growing the game at all levels of play and is driven by providing the opportunity for others to love the game, just as it was once given to him.

Sam De Sira, PGA of Canada

Academy Instructor
[email protected]

Sam began playing the game of golf at the age of 12 and soon found a passion and love for the sport. Despite attending University and graduating with a Bachelor of Media degree (majoring in Journalism) in 2015, his love for the sport had him return to his roots by turning professional post-grad, and thus pursuing a career in the industry. After competing in Australia he soon found a passion and value in teaching the sport, leading him to pursue a career in golf instruction. In an effort to hone his skills and seek new opportunities abroad, he ventured from his home of Adelaide, South Australia in 2019 after becoming a full member of the Australian PGA, ultimately finding a new home at The Okanagan Golf Club. Sam has a strong passion for teaching the game and ensuring that players understand the importance of working with their own anatomy and mechanics. He has a strong belief that there is no "one" way to swing the club efficiently and that everybody has the ability to become a great player. He loves growing the game by inspiring younger generations to take up the sport, and is currently working to grow the game for female golfers of all skill levels, as he currently hosts the ladies night clinics on offer, as well as coordinating the Okanagan Golf Club Tuesday Ladies night league.
