The province's best young talent will be at Arbutus Ridge July 5-8, competing for the title of 2016 Junior Boys Champion, who will join an impressive list of past winners including Adam Svensson (2010/11), Nick Taylor (2006), James Lepp (2002), and even Fred Couples (1978)! The GBC Golf Academy is home to a growing Junior Program which features lesson options for young golfers just getting started in golf all the way up to high school players looking to attend university on golf scholarships.
Camps run July and August, Monday to Friday from 9am-12pm and include two hours of golf instruction, one hour of tennis and lunch each day. Age Grouping: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced. Golf Clubs provided (if nessesary). Full day camps available, call the golf shop for more information!

Congratulations to Shingo Akizuki (Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club) on claiming the Srixon Tour event at Whistler Golf Club. As the event was rained out after 13 holes, Akizuki shot 50 through 13 to take home the Champion Cheque. Well done, Shingo!

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped make the inaugural GolfBC Championship event happen, especially the 300+ volunteers and all the spectators who came out- rain or shine- to support! Congratulations to Dan McCarthy (who is still at the top of the money list with CAD$73,938 including 2 wins and 2 Top 10 finishes!). Charity was also a huge winner, with a total of $150,000 raised for the BC Cancer Foundation!
