We're excited to announce that admission to this year's GolfBC Championship at Gallagher's Canyon is FREE, courtesy of Husky! Golf fans attending the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada tournament June 13-16 will not have to pay an admission fee but may choose to make a contribution directly to the official GolfBC Championship charity, the BC Cancer Foundation.
Why come out to watch? So you can catch the next generation of PGA Tour players before they hit the big stage (including TWO past GolfBC Championship Winners, Dan McCarthy and Robby Shelton)...
BY BRAD ZIEMER: "You hardly get to know them and then they’re gone. That’s the story of the best players on the PGA Tour Canada-Mackenzie Tour circuit. So, golf fans, catch them while you can. You may not get a second chance."

Tee box renovation on hole #5 is now underway, complete with a new cart path! Our blue and white tees have been raised and moved; the new location improves alignment where the increased height enhances sightlines. Plus, the tee area has been expanded for better conditioning. Arbutus Ridge's Assistant Golf Professional, Arthur Brown, shares some insider's knowledge after many year's of trying to concur the course (hint: course management is key!)
BY ARTHUR BROWN "When I first played Arbutus Ridge Golf Club, six years ago, I had a sullen drive home down the Malahat. It wasn’t due to the course conditions or the current cost of gas, or because I forgot to put sunscreen on. It was because the golf course beat me. As I drove back to Victoria, I thought of my mistakes, how I had let that idealistic round out of my grasp. The second time I played Arbutus Ridge, I had an almost identical experience. I drove home blaming my swing mechanics and my putting stroke, but as imperfect as they were, they were not the cause. In reality, it took me two years to understand how to play Arbutus; it took me those 2 years to understand proper course management."...
