THAT'S A WRAP! GolfBC Championship Crowns a New Winner, $75,000 Donation to BC Cancer, BC Boys Headed to Fortinet Cup Championship and more in the September eNews

And just like that, another champion has been crowned at the close of the 6th running of the GolfBC Championship at Gallagher's Canyon Golf Club, the penultimate stop on the PGA TOUR Canada in the season-long points race for the Fortinet Cup. A massive thank you goes out to the team at Gallagher's Canyon, including golf operations, ground maintenance, and food & beverage, as well all the volunteers, PGA TOUR Canada, and "Team Vassos" of VMC Media - none of this would be possible without the collaboration and dedication of everyone involved! This truly was an incredible year for the GolfBC Championship.

With an impressive finishing score of -23, including a 10-under 61 during his second round, 22-year old Noah Goodwin hoisted the winners trophy, aptly named Gallagher's Gold. The full recap of the final round from Noah and the battle for first place, written by Brad Ziemer, can be found below!

GolfBC Group also announced a donation of $75,000 to the BC Cancer Foundation during the closing ceremony of the GolfBC Championship, bringing the 6-year total charitable contribution to $750,000. With a focus on local initiatives within the Kelowna community, we are proud to say that the GolfBC Championship is one of the most charitable stops on PGA TOUR Canada! You can read more about the positive impact that the Championship has brought to the community in a press release below!

The GolfBC Championship also saw two prominent British Columbians secure their spots in the PGA TOUR Canada Fortinet Cup Championship being held in Kitchener, Ontario, from September 15th - 18th. Full details on that below.

Also included in the eNews this month - it's the Last Kick at the Pin at Nicklaus North and a refreshed menu with exciting new items at the Okanagan Golf Club!

It's last call for patio season, make sure to take advantage of the good weather while it lasts! Whether it's Happy Hour, post-round aprés, or dinner with your favourite table of people, bring your sunglasses and we'll see you out there this September.

Cheers!

On September 10, more than 6000 cyclists are expected to participate in the RBC GranFondo Whistler ride from Vancouver to Whistler.

As a result, motorists can expect possible delays of up to three hours between West Vancouver and Whistler between 5:30 am and 4:30 pm. Motorists are advised to obey all traffic control personnel and be prepared to stop during this large-scale cycling event.

Alternate travel arrangements are highly recommend if you're making your way to Whistler this day.
