Cypress Place at Nicklaus North - Construction Update
30th July, 2010
The summer in Whistler is now well under way, and interest in Cypress Place has been tremendous. Golfers at Nicklaus North get a preview of the stunning setting of the lots that look over the 3rd and 5th holes of the golf course. We are excited to announce that the CypressPlaceLiving.com website has recently been updated with 40 new Virtual Tours – allowing you to visualize the views from every lot as well as the entry gate. Visit the Cypress Place website and click on “Launch Virtual Tour” button for more information.
The unique copper plated Cypress Place sign marking the entrance to the subdivision was installed on the locally-sourced basalt stone walls in late June, and the final woodwork on the postal kiosk structure was completed mid June of 2010. The completion of the postal kiosk and entry gate signage, along with the ongoing landscaping of the front entry area, create a welcoming sense of arrival into this exclusive neighbourhood.
The final elements of the servicing contract have just completed at Cypress Place - all curbs, asphalt and pavers are in place, and all ducting for the separate utilities have been installed. Geothermal drilling is scheduled for early August for some of the first home sites, and the landscaping of the rain gardens will be completed mid month. In late August the new signals for the planned Valley Trail pedestrian crossing at the Sea to Sky Highway and Cypress Place intersection will be installed, to safely connect the trail on both sides of the road.
We are about to see some construction activity at Cypress Place as early as fall 2010. The home on Lot 1 has been designed by the Whistler-based architectural firm Brigitte Loranger Architecture & Planning Ltd., and is scheduled to start construction in September. The building plans include the Geothermal offer package and the design incorporates heavy timber construction with a focus on Whistler Green sustainable technologies.
The Cypress Place subdivision was granted by the land title office in early July 2010, with titles ready to convey immediately. There is still a great selection of home sites, with 31 of the 39 lots still available for sale.
A private tour of the neighbourhood – perhaps along with a game of golf at Nicklaus North – can be arranged by contacting Rob Palm at the Whistler Real Estate Company at (604) 905-8833 or (604) 905-2835, or by email at [email protected].
