Slit Drainage Project at Mayfair LakesFollowing an intensive 2 month drainage improvement upgrade, Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club will be reopening all 18 holes of the award winning golf course on Saturday, May 10th in time for a very busy tournament and recreational golf season ahead.

Turf Drainage Solutions has completed the fairway slit drainage work on the first five holes of the golf course and will be returning in late September to continue the project. The drainage program is part of an infrastructure investment driven to improving golf course conditions for year round play and accessibility.

“We are very excited to see how our members and the golfing community at large will respond to the much drier playing experience on holes 1 thru 5 this season,” commented Mike Smedstad, Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club General Manager. “TDS West installed over 75,000 feet of drainage pipe and the playing conditions of these fairways is unbelievable!”

Family NightsIn celebration of the reopening and to encourage more families to try the great game of golf, Mayfair Lakes is enhancing and improving their popular Kids Play Free Program. Every Sunday in May through August, Mayfair Lakes will host Family Night. From 4pm onwards, 1 Adult and 1 Junior receive a warmup bucket of golf balls, green fees to play golf, and hot dogs or sandwiches and drink for only $45.

All Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club facilities are open and running on regular schedules including the award winning instruction programs at the GBC Golf Academy at Mayfair Lakes, The Lakeside Grill, with its very popular weekday Dine and Dash lunch program, as well as multiple facilities available for meetings, group banquets and weddings throughout the season.
