Announcing GolfBC's Next Chapter: Sale of GolfBC to Sandpiper Group

GolfBC Group announced that its parent company, Burrard International, has completed the sale of select GolfBC properties to Sandpiper Group, a Vancouver-based family office and private equity firm focused on private acquisition opportunities and strategic equity investments.

The transaction includes Nicklaus North Golf Course in Whistler, Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club and The Pinnacle in Kelowna, and The Okanagan Golf Club, including The Bear and The Quail courses, in Kelowna. The transaction also includes the Crystal Lodge and The Beacon Pub in Whistler.

Sandpiper Group has extensive experience in real estate and hospitality ownership and operations and takes a long-term approach to its investments. The acquisition represents Sandpiper Group’s first investment in the golf industry.

While ownership of these properties has changed, GolfBC will continue to operate and manage the golf courses as part of the GolfBC Group brand, supported by the existing GolfBC corporate team. The leadership teams and Team Members at the golf properties will remain in place, with day-to-day operations continuing as usual for the foreseeable future.

Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club in Richmond and Olympic View Golf Club in Victoria were not included in the transaction and remain under the ownership of Burrard International. However, these properties will continue to be operated and managed by GolfBC under the existing management structure.

GolfBC remains focused on providing exceptional golf experiences and welcoming environments for its Members and guests, while continuing to support the teams and communities that have been at the heart of the organization’s success.
